loosely based on the Mary Rose find, our needle cases are sized for modern use.
the spool is 5 inches long and has two bobbin areas to wind thread.
the needle area is 3/8 of an inch round and 4 3/4 inches long. With the stopper in place you have 4 1/4 inches of space.
The over dimensions with the stopper in place are roughly 1 inch round, 5 1/2 inches long.
